Do You Need a Blood Sugar Test If You Don’t Have Diabetes?
This figure is expected to rise to 1.3 billion people by 2050.
Left untreated, diabetes can cause blindness, heart attacks, stroke, kidney failure, nerve damage, and lower limb amputations.
Diabetes is serious!

Are you at risk of type 2 diabetes and struggling to make healthy lifestyle changes?
Are you concerned about a related health condition such as:
Carrying excess weight, especially around the abdomen, increases insulin resistance, making it harder for the body to regulate blood sugar. This often leads to higher glucose levels, a key risk factor for type 2 diabetes, as well as other health risks including heart disease, stroke, fatty liver disease and some cancers.
Consistently elevated blood sugar or glucose levels indicates that the body is struggling to use glucose and insulin effectively. Over time, this can lead to insulin resistance and an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Diets high in processed and ultra-processed foods (UPFs), refined sugars, and unhealthy fats contribute to weight gain, insulin resistance, and blood sugar imbalances, all of which increase the likelihood of type 2 diabetes.
Chronic fatigue may be linked to poor blood sugar management, stress, or hormonal imbalances, all of which can disrupt metabolism and contribute to the development of insulin resistance.
Lack of physical activity reduces the body's ability to use glucose and/or insulin efficiently, leading to higher blood sugar levels. Regular movement helps improve insulin sensitivity and lowers diabetes risk. Start to see movement as medicine.
Prolonged stress triggers the release of cortisol, a hormone that can lead to increased blood sugar levels and weight gain, both of which raise the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Not getting enough sleep or chronic disrupted sleep affects hormone regulation, leading to increased hunger, cravings for unhealthy foods, and impaired insulin function, all of which contribute to diabetes risk.
High blood pressure and high cholesterol make it harder for the body to manage blood sugar levels optimally. They also increase the risk of heart disease, which is closely linked to type 2 diabetes. Keeping them under control through a healthy lifestyle helps protect your overall health.
